"All right. What's the request?" Harry's fatigue was slowly catching up to him, but he pushed it away.
"May I come to you and talk Potter? This was supposed to just be a quick peep in."
"Certainly. Just do try not to get yourself lost in the Floo." Harry told him what to say to Floo over. As soon as that was done, Draco's head was out of the green flames. A minute later, Malfoy's full form was stepping out of the fireplace.
"There, now. On to my request. Potter, I want you to make the Unbreakable Vow with me."
Harry's eyes went wide as he looked at Draco's shadowed face. "D'you realize that if everything isn't carried out to the letter in one of those things, one of us is dead?"
Draco looked much more tired in person. "Fine. Then be my Secret Keeper. I want to make sure no one finds out about Nadia. It would cost everone too much to bring this truth out into the open. Not only that, but it would kill me anyway. I want to remember Nadia in my own way."
Harry nodded. "All right Malfoy. I'll keep your secrets. Can we part ways soon? Lily's going to be up soon."
After leaving Dumbledore's office, both Draco and Harry felt much better. They parted ways as quickly as they could with a hurried handshake. Harry turned and said, "Hey, Malfoy! Does this mean you'll be keeping your perfect head out of my bloody fireplace?"
Draco smirked characteristically and nodded. "Yes. I suppose it does. Keep her safe as best you can Potter. She's precious, that angel of yours."
Harry felt a smile on his face as he raised his hand slightly to acknowledge the goodbye that he felt too sad to say. As he Apparated back to his flat, he saw the house-elves had moved Lily back onto the bed. He stopped by on his way back to his armchair, to pick up the picture if Sirius and his parents' wedding.
He smiled then. And he kept that smile for a long time.
